About Life Coaching

Life coaching is ideal for individuals seeking active change in their personal or professional lives. It focuses on what you want to achieve, both in the short and the long term. The coaching process can help you to problem solve, create strategies, make decisions, take action, and to realize your goals. Coaching can be particularly valuable during times of transition when you are seeking to make changes in such areas as lifestyle choices, health, finances, family life, work balance, career and personal growth.

Changes in any area such as finances, relationships or career are all impacted by health and lifestyle choices. Consequently coaching is generally a more directive approach than longer term psychotherapy. For example, while we work with your specific concerns we would also address lifestyle management and any related areas that might be effecting your health and well-being.

As your life coach I will help you to clarify what you want and respond to what is presented so that you can become more focused. There is sometimes an overlap between short term counseling and coaching. While I do not impose a structure, our work together will be solution-focused. The emphasis in life coaching is on self-reflection and using energy and other resources effectively, in ways that will support you in achieving your dreams while responding appropriately to challenges.

How does coaching work?

Coaching sessions are available in person or through phone or Skype. Sessions will be tailored to your actual situation and can be taken at a frequency to suit. As with regular therapy, sessions are 50 minutes. Duration of coaching depends on a number of factors and is something that we would agree upon at the start of working together.

There is no passion to be found playing small--  in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.
